Why Become a Member?

Becoming a member of AFWC encourages participation in our community, benefits future endeavors and builds character. By becoming a member of Animal Friends of Wyoming County you help to find wonderful dogs their forever homes and help provide veterinary care so they can put their best paw forward as they step into their new homes. Though AFWC is based in Wyoming County NY, anyone 18 years of age and older can become a member; no matter where you reside or your availability. All AFWC requires for membership is $15 addressed to Animal Friends of Wyoming County. Memberships are good for 1 year with a chance of renewal every December for the next year. For memberships, we only accept cash or check in person, however you can also join online for $17. You can download a Membership Application below and either mail the application with dues to us or stop into the shelter or fill out the form below!

Volunteering at the Wyoming County Animal Shelter is a great way to help the dogs and give back to the community. Volunteers are not required to be members of AFWC. If you would like to volunteer please contact the shelter to find out more!
